Hard to believe it’s already 2019. You are most likely taking your Christmas Tree down and put all the ornaments away – so what to do with the real tree itself?
The Howard Hughes Corp, the developer of the master-planned community of Summerlin, encourages people to recycle them for mulching – sort of giving back to Mother Nature. In partnership with the Springs Preserves, the UNLV Rebel Recycling and many other organizations the annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program has returned and runs through January 15.
Summerlin residents can drop off their real trees minus all the tinsel etc. at the lot adjacent to RC Wiley at 3850 S. Town Center Drive – this location is open 24 hours a day. Valley wide there are 32 locations to drop off real trees - Check here for the available locations.
The trees will be chipped into mulch and will be used in public gardens and parks across the Las Vegas Valley.
Residents that need trees picked up for recycling can call 1-800-GOT JUNK to schedule a pick up time. You can also go online to www.1800GOTJUNK.com. Last year over 10,000 were recycled creating thousands of tons of mulch for use across Southern Nevada.
Keep in mind that whether you are interested in buying a home or selling a home, a Realtor should represent you– this person is working for your benefit and will help you navigate through the buying or selling process. Thanks and make it a terrific day…………Robin
