Downtown Summerlin is the place to be on Friday November 16 at 6 p.m. for the kickoff of the holiday season with a holiday parade and the arrival of Santa Claus. Also the Rock Rink public skating rink will open on the same day.
The parade will run every Friday and Saturday night through December 22 with holiday theme floats and family-friendly holiday music, dance and colorful costumes. The parade is a free event that is open to the public on Park Centre Drive.
Santa’s Chalet will be located in the Macy’s Promenade through December 24. The chalet features a forest of pine trees and deer’s sculpted in many hues of white. This is the perfect setting to whisper to Santa what you wish for the holidays. There is a photo package starting at $24.99 plus on Tuesdays Santa will pose with your pets between the hours of 7 – 9 p.m. through December 18.
There will be a Hanukkah celebration on December 9 – a partnership of Downtown Summerlin with Jewish Nevada and the JCC. These festivities will offer cocoa and light bites and the Menorah will be lighted.
The Rock Rink will be open Monday thru Thursday nights from 4-9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 11a.m. to 8 p.m. Skate rentals start at $15.
Bottom Line – Downtown Summerlin offers something for everyone so get your family together and join the festivities.
